DVD - Making a difference

The film tells the story of indigenous peoples struggle for rights internationally and locally. The starting point is the negotiation process within the UN system that eventually led to the adoption in 2007 of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. From there, the film takes a journey into the reality of four indigenous peoples on four continents. It portrays the situation of the Quichuas of Ecuador, the Chakmas of Bangladesh, the Bushmen of South Africa and Inuit of Greenland. The films conveys a profound understanding of the background for indigenous peoples' global struggle for recognition and survival.
